Legacy Ball

Okay so what are Legacy Balls?

A ball that has a legacy. Isn't that a silly answer, but it is true.
When I started Contact Juggling I didn't have any ball to use. So I improvised and used an Orange.
Over time I did a lot of lessons and always had a lacrosse ball with me.
I always just wanted to give the new Contact Juggler a ball and say use this.
So that is what this lacrosse ball is.
My ball given to you to use to learn Contact Juggling but there is a catch.
That catch is that you pass the ball on when you are done with it to a new Contact Juggler.
Even if you give up Contact Juggling you still need to pass the ball on, but why would you want to quit?
You are also responsible to teach the new person what you can.
And lastly you need to explain what the legacy ball is and that person has to be willing to do the same thing you did.
Also I recommend telling the history of that paticular ball.
Almost all beginning CJ practice balls have a story.
So as time goes on a Legacy ball will have a lot of stories attached to it.
Also the Legacy ball will have a lot of Contact Jugglers attached to it.

I recommend one of several ways to keep track of a balls heritage.
One a verbal heritage.
Two a written heritage.
Three send me the name and email of the next person with the ball and I will track it. Also any cool stories about the ball when you had it.

How many of these are you giving away?
Just a few to start. Even though my name is Rich I am not a millionaire.
But if you need a ball and are new to CJ.
And you like the idea of the Legacy Ball.

Then email me today and ask for one.
Some day I hope to be able to give these to everyone that wants one or needs one.

Legacy CD

A recent comment in my email, "I give this Ball and Video to you."
I had thought about giving balls away.
But I never thought about giving a video away?
So I decided to make a DVD. For Sale. For Profit.
That will be coming out soon.
But why couldn't I give something away.
Maybe not a DVD. But something with instruction on it.
Well I made a video on "My First Lesson" so I could teach people.
I give that away online.
But this won't be just my video on the CD.
It will be everyone's video on the CD that wants to contribute.
You will maintain full ownership and copyright of your material but,
you will give the right for people to distribute this CD with your material on it.
Please no Copyrighted music in the background. Unless you own those copyrights too.
No one will gain any money off the CD except what they get from the free promotion and exposure.
I will let Bob Distribute all primary copies.
Anyone on the CD gets it mailed to them for free.
Then you can copy it and give it away. Start your own Legacy.
Or if you want a copy you can pay Shipping and Handling and have a copy mailed to you.
Or you could ask Bob to include it on your next order free.
Or you could make friends with someone that has a copy and have them burn it for you.
So this way when you hand down the Legacy Ball, you can give them a Legacy CD as well.

More Insanity Later.
